Learn how to reset a change tracking task. This action clears the task's configuration and deletes all cached data changes.
Prerequisites
The change tracking task must be in the Normal, Initializing, or Exception state.Impacts on billing
- Subscription: No impact.
- Pay-as-you-go: The task enters the Not configured state and billing stops. Billing resumes after you reconfigure and start the task.
Procedure
- Log on to the DTS console.
- In the left navigation pane, click Change Tracking.
- At the top of the Change Tracking page, select the region for your change tracking instance.
- Find the target change tracking task. In the Operation column, choose .
Warning This action has the following effects.
- The change tracking task stops tracking data changes from the source database.
- The task's configuration is deleted, and its status changes to Not configured.
- Cached data changes from the source database are permanently deleted.
- In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
