If your current instance configuration no longer meets your business needs, you can upgrade it.
Prerequisites
- Before you upgrade the configuration, the data migration task must be in the Migrating, Pausing, or Migration Failed state.
- You can upgrade the configuration only for data migration and data synchronization tasks, not for change tracking instances.
Usage notes
- You can only upgrade an instance. Downgrading an instance is not supported.
- During the upgrade, incremental data migration and data synchronization may be delayed by about 5 seconds. Perform this operation during off-peak hours.
Billing
- Subscription instances The upgrade fee is calculated using the following formula: Upgrade fee = (Daily price after upgrade - Daily price before upgrade) × Remaining days in your subscription.Note The daily price after the upgrade depends on the number of remaining days in your subscription.
- If the remaining subscription period is less than 300 days, the upgrade is billed at a monthly rate.
- If the remaining subscription period is 300 days or more, the upgrade is billed at a yearly rate.
- Pay-as-you-go instances
You are charged hourly based on the instance configuration at the time of billing.
For more information about pricing, see billing overview.
