".Trademark" is a new generic top-level domain (gTLD) that uses the Chinese word for "trademark" as its suffix.

Can I register a .Trademark domain name without proof of trademark rights?

No, you cannot. To register a .Trademark domain name, you must provide proof of trademark rights, such as a trademark registration certificate. The domain name registrant must be the same as the trademark registrant. Alibaba Cloud currently accepts only approved trademark registration certificates for .Trademark domain name applications.

What is the relationship between the lifecycle of a .Trademark domain name and the trademark registration date?

The lifecycle of a .Trademark domain name starts on the domain registration date and ends on the domain expiration date. Trademark registrations have a validity period. The registrant must ensure that the corresponding trademark remains valid throughout the lifecycle of the .Trademark domain name.

Important If the domain name registration information changes, such as in cases of trademark registration renewal, invalidation, revocation, or non-renewal, the registrant must promptly provide the domain name registry with accurate information and proof. Otherwise, the domain name registry can unregister or freeze your domain name.

Can a graphical trademark be used to apply for a .Trademark domain name?

No, it cannot. You can register a .Trademark domain name only for trademarks that contain distinctive text. Purely graphical trademarks cannot be used because they do not have recognizable text from which to create a domain name.

No, you cannot. Online transfers for .Trademark domain names are not currently supported. To transfer a .Trademark domain name, you must submit a ticket. Alibaba Cloud then requests an offline transfer from the domain name registry.

If a trademark is transferred, does the corresponding .Trademark domain name also need to be transferred?

Yes, it does. The trademark owner and the registrant of the corresponding .Trademark domain name must be the same. If the ownership of the trademark is transferred, the corresponding .Trademark domain name must also be transferred to the new trademark owner.
