If you own a domain name but have forgotten which Alibaba Cloud account manages it, this topic explains how to retrieve the account logon name. You can then use the logon name to sign in to the Domain Name Console to manage your domain name.
Check your domain name information
Before you retrieve the logon name, use a WHOIS lookup to confirm the following information:
-
The domain name is active and has not been re-registered by another party after expiration.
-
The domain registrar is Alibaba Cloud.
Retrieve the account logon name
-
Go to the Forgot logon name page.
-
Enter the domain name for the account you want to retrieve. Complete the slider verification, and then click Retrieve Now.
-
On the identity verification page, select a method to verify your identity.
If you cannot complete the identity verification, click Submit an appeal. For more information, see What do I do if I cannot complete identity verification?.
After you select a method, follow the on-screen instructions to get and enter the verification code, then click Verify Now to complete the verification.
-
After your identity is successfully verified, you will see the logon name of the associated Alibaba Cloud account.
Unable to sign in?
-
If you forgot your password: You can try to reset your password.
-
If your domain name requires urgent renewal: You can use the third-party domain renewal service. This allows you to renew the domain name without signing in to the account that manages it.
-
If you want to manage your domain names in one place: The domain name registrant can apply for an offline domain name transfer to move it to another Alibaba Cloud account.
Domain not found after sign-in?
-
The domain name was previously visible, but now it is missing.
-
Clear your browser cache or switch browsers. We recommend using Chrome to sign in to the Domain Name Console and check for your domain name again.
-
Check the expiration date of the domain name: Use a WHOIS lookup to see if your domain name has expired.
-
-
The domain name appears in the domain resolution list, but not in the Domain Name List.
Use a WHOIS lookup to check if the domain registrar is Alibaba Cloud. Alibaba Cloud DNS allows you to add and resolve domain names that are registered with other registrars.
-
If the registrar is not Alibaba Cloud: The domain name is not displayed in the Alibaba Cloud Domain Name Console. For more information about how to transfer your domain name, see Transfer a domain name to Alibaba Cloud.
-
If the registrar is Alibaba Cloud: Clear your browser cache or switch to a different browser. Then, sign in to the Domain Name Console again to check for your domain name.
