The publish feature lets you deploy websites created with PAI-Artisan to the cloud and make them publicly accessible.

Before you begin

  • You must purchase an edition for your first publish.

  • After you publish your website, you must bind a domain name to it to enable public access.

  • If your website is deployed in the Chinese mainland, the bound domain name must have a completed ICP filing. Otherwise, the website will be inaccessible. The filing process typically takes 5 to 20 business days.

Initial publish

To publish a website for the first time, you must purchase an edition. After the purchase is complete, your website is automatically deployed.

Step 1: Initiate publish

  1. On the application preview page, make sure your website content is saved. Publishing uses the last saved content.

  2. Click Publish at the top of the page. The edition selection panel appears.

Step 2: Select edition and configure purchase

  1. In the edition selection dialog box, compare the features of different editions and select the one that best suits your needs.

    Edition

    Use cases

    Lite

Basic informational websites, such as personal blogs and portfolios.

    Standard

Websites that require a separate management console, such as corporate websites and marketing pages.

    Advanced

Websites for export-oriented or e-commerce businesses that require a full e-commerce payment stack.

You can click Edition Details to view the full feature list for each edition. For detailed specifications and pricing, see Product Billing.

  2. Click Buy Now under your selected edition and configure the purchase options in the panel that appears at the bottom of the page.

    Region

Select a region for your website based on your business needs:

    • Chinese mainland: Ideal for scenarios where your primary audience is in the Chinese mainland, as this provides faster access. However, the bound domain name must have a completed ICP filing.

    • China (Hong Kong): No ICP filing is required. This option is suitable for overseas visitors or for domain names without an ICP filing. Users in the Chinese mainland may experience higher latency.

    Note

After purchase, you can upgrade from a Chinese mainland region to a China (Hong Kong) region, but you cannot switch back from a China (Hong Kong) region to a Chinese mainland region.

    Subscription duration

    You can select 1, 2, 3, or 5 years.

    Quantity

The number of independent website instances you want to purchase. Typically, 1 is sufficient for a single website.

  3. After you confirm the settings, the system displays the final price based on your selections.

Step 3: Confirm the order and pay

  1. After confirming the configuration, click Buy Now in the purchase panel.

  2. On the order confirmation page, verify the product name, edition, region, subscription duration, and cost.

  3. Read and select the Alibaba Cloud Website Builder Service Agreement.

  4. Click Proceed to Payment to complete the payment.

Step 4: Complete publish

After the payment is successful, the system automatically deploys your website.

  • Publishing process: The process usually takes 1 to 5 minutes. The page displays the publishing status. You can close the page. The system will notify you upon completion.

  • Publish successful: Your website has been deployed successfully. To make your website publicly accessible with a custom domain name, you must bind a custom domain name.

Republish

After you purchase an edition, you can republish your website at any time to apply your changes.

  1. On the application preview page, make sure your edited content is correct.

  2. Click Publish at the top of the page.

Each publish automatically generates a version record. You can view and manage these records in the publish history.

  2. In the left navigation pane, select Domain Management.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a CNAME record with your domain name provider.
