This topic describes the billing rules for temporary storage space and provides billing examples.
Billing overview
Each ECI instance includes 30 GiB of free temporary storage space by default. If this space does not meet your needs, you can increase the temporary storage space size as needed.
The container image used to start the ECI instance occupies part of this 30 GiB space. The space required for the container image is at least twice the image size. The exact amount depends on the image’s compression ratio.

Billing formula
Cost = Unit price × Additional temporary storage capacity × Usage duration.
-
Formula details
-
Unit price: CNY 0.00000059/GiB/second.
-
Additional temporary storage capacity: The extra capacity you specify, in GiB.
-
Usage duration: Billed per second. Temporary storage is created and released with the ECI instance, so its usage duration matches the instance runtime.
