Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances may fail to be created or started due to issues that occur on the Alibaba Cloud system side. This topic provides solutions to these issues.
Prerequisites
You have diagnosed the ECS instance by using Instance Start/Stop Abnormality. The diagnosis result shows that one or more of the following checks failed:
- Instance inventory resources
- Other cloud system issues
- Snapshot or image issues
- Instance private IP resource issues
- Disk issues
- Virtualization issues
Instance Inventory resources
Problem description: When you create or start an instance, resources of the specified instance type are insufficient in the specified zone. As a result, the instance cannot be created or started.
Solutions:
- Change the zone of the instance without changing the instance type.
- Change the instance type of the instance without changing the zone.
- Use the authorized pending order feature.
