If you no longer need a replication pair for disaster recovery, you can delete it to free up resources. Deleting a replication pair does not affect the data on the primary or secondary disks.
Limitations
You cannot delete a replication pair that belongs to a replication pair-consistent group. You must first remove the replication pair from the group before you can delete it. For more information, see Remove all replication pairs from a replication pair-consistent group.
Procedure
When you delete a replication pair, the data on the secondary disk reverts to the state of the last successful replication. Any data from an in-progress replication cycle is lost. Proceed with caution.
Log on to the Elastic Block Storage (EBS) console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
In the top navigation bar, select the region and resource group of the resource that you want to manage.

Stop the replication pair.
A replication pair must be in the Stopped state before you can delete it. In the list of replication pairs, find the one you want to stop and click Stop in the Actions column.

Delete the replication pair.
In the list of replication pairs, find the pair that you want to delete. In the Actions column, choose
> Delete and follow the on-screen instructions.
