If you no longer need a replication pair-consistent group for geo-disaster recovery, you can delete the group to release its resources. Deleting a replication pair-consistent group does not delete the associated replication pairs, disks, or disk data.

Procedure

Important

After you delete a replication pair-consistent group, the data on the secondary site is rolled back to the state of the last successfully completed asynchronous replication. This means that any data from the most recent, ongoing replication cycle will be lost. Proceed with caution.

  1. Log on to the Elastic Block Storage (EBS) console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Enterprise-level Features > Replication Pair-consistent Group.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the region and resource group of the resource that you want to manage. Region

  4. Stop the replication pair-consistent group.

A replication pair-consistent group must be in the Stopped state before you can delete it. In the replication pair-consistent group list, find the group that you want to stop and click Stop in the Actions column.

  5. Remove all replication pairs from the replication pair-consistent group.

You must remove all replication pairs from a group before you can delete the group.

    1. In the replication pair-consistent group list, find the group from which you want to remove replication pairs and click the group ID.

    2. On the group details page, find the replication pair that you want to remove and click Remove in the Actions column.

  6. Delete the replication pair-consistent group.

In the replication pair-consistent group list, find the group that you want to delete, choose image.png > Delete in the Actions column, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the deletion.
