Obtain a Linux image file

After you configure the virtual machine, follow these steps to obtain the Linux image file.

Procedure

  1. In Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager, select a virtual machine, for example, centos VM.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Select Block Storage > centos VM.vhd.

  4. In the details list on the right, find the disk file path, for example, C:\Users\Administrator\VirtualBox VMs\centos VM\centos VM.vhd.

  5. Navigate to this path to find the Linux image file.

    The Linux image file is centos VM.vhd (Virtual Hard Disk format).

ECS only supports importing image files in RAW, VHD, QCOW2, and VMDK formats. If your image file is in a different format, you must convert it to a supported format before you import the file. For instructions, see Convert image formats.
