Deploy WDCP using a Marketplace image

Updated at:

WDCP (WDlinux Control Panel) is a web service control panel designed for Linux servers. It provides a user-friendly graphical interface to simplify server management, website deployment, and application configuration. WDCP helps system administrators and web developers manage web servers, create and maintain websites, databases, and FTP accounts. This topic describes how to deploy WDCP using a Marketplace image.

Procedure

This procedure describes how to deploy WDCP using a Marketplace image when you create an ECS instance.

If you already have an ECS instance, you can replace its current operating system with the Marketplace image. Before you change the operating system, manually create a single snapshot for the system disk to back up your data.

  1. Go to ECS console - custom launch.

  2. On the Custom Launch page, in the Images section, select Marketplace Images > Select Image from Alibaba Cloud Marketplace (with Operating System).

  3. In the search box, enter WDCP and click Search.

Click an image title in the search results to open its product page on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace and view the configuration details.

This example uses the WDCP Management Panel (Multi-PHP, CentOS 7.8, Security-Optimized) image. Key configuration details include:

    • Operating system: CentOS 7.8 64-bit

    • Runtime environment: PHP 5.5.38, MySQL 5.5.62, Apache 2.4.41

    • Management console address: http://<public_ip_of_your_ecs_instance>:8080, Username: admin, Default password: wdlinux.cn

    • MySQL account: root, Password: wdlinux.cn

  4. Click Use.

  5. On the Custom Launch page, configure the parameters as prompted.

Note the following parameters. For more information about other parameters, see Create an instance using the wizard.

    • Images: The Images section is automatically set to the image you selected.

    • Public IP Address: Select Assign Public IPv4 Address and set a bandwidth value.

    • Security Group: Select a security group that allows inbound traffic on ports 22, 80, 443, and 8080.

  6. In your local web browser, enter http://<public_ip_of_your_ecs_instance>:8080 to access the WDCP management console.

The Admin Login page appears. Enter your username and password, and then click Login.

  7. Enter the username admin and the default password wdlinux.cn, and then click Login.

For security, change the password immediately after you log in.

In the left-side navigation pane, click User Management > Change Password to open the password change page.

Next steps

After you deploy WDCP, you can monitor system resource usage, view open ports and processes, configure firewall (iptables) settings, and manage FTP accounts and MySQL databases. For more information, see the official WDCP website.
