Upgrading or downgrading the runtime environment version may cause temporary application unavailability. To minimize service disruption:
Operate in batches. Update a subset of instances at a time rather than all at once, so that a failed update affects only part of your fleet.
Schedule during low-traffic windows. Perform the upgrade or downgrade when inbound traffic is lowest to reduce the number of affected requests.
