Enable IPv6 on the DCDN console to allow clients to access DCDN over IPv6. When enabled, DCDN also forwards client IPv6 addresses to your origin server.

Background

Most DCDN nodes support requests over IPv6. You can enable IPv6 in the domain name configuration.

After you enable IPv6, clients on an IPv6 network can connect to DCDN nodes over IPv6 if the nearest node supports it. Otherwise, they will connect over IPv4.

Important

For some domain names, IPv6 is disabled by default for regions outside the Chinese mainland to optimize performance. To enable IPv6 for these regions, submit a ticket.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the DCDN console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Domain Names.

  3. On the Domain Names page, find the domain name that you want to manage and click Configure.

  4. In the domain's left-side navigation pane, click Advanced Settings.

  5. Turn on IPv6.
