Does ESA support automatic cache purging?

No. Like CDN, ESA caches website content by default and does not support automatic cache purging. After you update a page on your origin server, submit a purge task in the ESA console to clear stale cache files on edge nodes. You can use one of the following purge methods:

  • Purge by URL: removes cache files that exactly match a specified URL.

  • Directory refresh: removes all cache files in a specified directory.

  • Purge All Cache: removes all cache files from the site.

To go to the purge page, perform the following steps:

  1. In the ESA console, select Websites, and in the Website column, click the target site.

  2. In the navigation pane, select Caching > Purge Cache.
