Edge Security Accelerator (ESA) caches origin server resources on globally distributed nodes at different tiers, delivering content from the nearest location to reduce latency and origin load.
Overview
ESA operates 3,200+ edge nodes with intelligent routing and a hierarchical cache mechanism. Cache nodes are organized into tiers — some closer to users, others closer to your origin. Requests hit the nearest tier first and escalate only on a cache miss. An origin fetch occurs only as a last resort, so most content is served from ESA's global network — reducing origin load, lowering bandwidth costs, and accelerating delivery.
Multi-level cache types
The Cache Warm-up feature is unavailable when multi-level cache is set to Edge Tiered Cache.
