Simulate an HTTP/S request to the ESA platform to see which ESA configurations match and apply to your request. Works even before proxy acceleration is enabled. Customize request attributes such as geographic location, protocol, and headers. For websites with security protection, you can bypass security challenge rules.
Prerequisites
Your website is onboarded to the ESA platform and enabled.
Trace a request

Log on to the ESA console. In the left-side navigation pane, select .

Enter the URL, configure the HTTP Method, Request Header, and HTTP Protocol. Optionally, simulate a geographic location and bypass security challenges. Click Send Request.

Review the HTTP status code and the matched ESA configurations. Results show matched feature modules, and the number and names of matched rules.
NoteFor websites with rate-based security rules, send enough Trace requests to exceed the rate threshold. Otherwise, the security configuration results may be inaccurate.
Limitations
Trace supports the following features: version management, quick start, WAF, transform rules, redirect rules, cache rules, Edge routine route, Smart Routing, and load balancing.
