This topic describes how to play cloud games, such as Black Myth: Wukong, Wuthering Waves, and Minecraft, on Wuying Cloud Desktop for Individuals.

Important

This topic uses the Windows client V7.8 as an example. If your experience differs, you may be using a different client or an earlier version. We recommend updating to the latest version.

Before you begin

Purchase games

You must purchase the following games on the game platform. All other games are available for Instant Play and do not require a purchase:

  • Black Myth: Wukong (Steam): You must purchase the game in the Steam client. To start the cloud game, you must sign in to a Steam account that owns the game.

  • Black Myth: Wukong (WeGame): You must purchase the game in the WeGame client. To start the cloud game, you must sign in to a WeGame account that owns the game.

Prepare a Wuying terminal

Visit the Wuying Client Download Page and download the latest version of the desktop client (Windows client or macOS client) or the mobile client (Android client). You can also purchase a Wuying Cube, a Wuying hardware terminal. See Obtain and install a Wuying Cube.

Note

To use cloud games, make sure your desktop client is V7.5 or later, your mobile client is V7.8 or later, and your hardware terminal is V7.5.2 or later. For the best experience, update your Wuying terminal to the latest version.

Purchase a Wuying Shared Lingdou Pack

Playing cloud games consumes Wuying Lingdou from a Wuying Shared Lingdou Pack. Ensure you purchase a pack before you start. See Types and pricing.

Note

The Wuying Lingdou consumption rate varies by game. The actual rate may also differ due to promotions or discounts. The rate displayed on the UI prevails.

FAQ

Missing cloud game cards

  1. You may be using an unsupported Wuying client type or version. Cloud games are supported only on the Windows client and macOS client (V7.5 or later), and the Android client (V7.8 or later). Go to the Wuying Client Download Page to download the latest client version.

  2. You may have selected the wrong product edition in the client. Do not sign in to the Enterprise & Business Edition. Cloud games are supported only in the edition for Individuals.

Cloud game fees

  • Playing cloud games consumes Wuying Lingdou from a Wuying Shared Lingdou Pack, which is a paid service. Before you play a cloud game, make sure you have purchased a Wuying Shared Lingdou Pack for your account for Individuals. See Types and pricing.

  • Whether the game itself is free depends on the game. Among the currently supported cloud games, Black Myth: Wukong requires a purchase, while other games do not.

Game prompts for download

Normally, the game starts automatically. This prompt can appear if the game disk is not mounted correctly. To resolve this, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Steam client and select Steam > Settings.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Storage.

  3. On the Storage panel, click the local drive drop-down list and click Add Drive.

  4. Perform one of the following actions based on your situation:

    • If you see an unmounted D drive, mount it.

    • If there is no unmounted D drive, exit the cloud game, wait for at least three minutes, and then restart the cloud game.

Unable to click floating ball

After you start a cloud game, the Wuying client automatically enables mouse control optimization. This locks the mouse cursor within the game window to ensure that in-game actions such as camera rotation work correctly. While this is active, you cannot click the floating ball.

Press the Esc key twice, use the keyboard shortcut (Windows: Ctrl+Alt+2; macOS: Ctrl+Option+2), or click the floating ball to move the mouse cursor out of the game window.

Steam cloud save data

Your Steam cloud save data is stored on Steam's servers, not in the cloud game instance of Wuying Cloud Desktop for Individuals. Before starting and after exiting a game, you must wait for the Steam cloud save to finish synchronizing (until its status shows Up to date). Closing the game prematurely may cause you to lose all of your save data.

Important
  • Before you start the game, wait until the Steam cloud save status shows Up to date.

  • During the public beta, there is a risk of losing Steam cloud save data due to unexpected Steam client exits. If you are concerned about losing your progress, we recommend that you start a New Game.
