The video-trans instance family provides heterogeneous computing instances for Elastic Computing Service (ECS). These instances are suitable for video transcoding, image and video content processing, and fetching frame images. This topic describes the features, instance types, and specifications of these instances.
Features of video-trans
Dedicated hardware resources and physical isolation
High-density transcoding. For example, the hardware supports 84 streams for 1080p resolution, 30 FPS, and the HEVC encoding format.
Support for mainstream H.264 and H.265 streams. The maximum supported resolution is 8192 × 4096.
Equipped with ASIC transcoding accelerators for video transcoding applications. This greatly improves transcoding speed and reduces costs.
Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel ® Xeon ® Platinum 8269CY (Cascade Lake) processor with a turbo frequency of 3.2 GHz. This provides stable computing performance.
Scenarios:
Video format and stream conversion
Image and video content processing
Fetching frame images for image recognition
Video-trans instance types
The video-trans instance family includes the ecs.video-trans.26xhevc instance type. The following table describes its specifications.
Instance type | vCPU | Memory (GiB) | Hardware transcoding units | Network bandwidth (Gbit/s) | Packet forwarding rate (10,000 PPS) | IPv6 support | Multi-queue | ENIs |
ecs.video-trans.26xhevc | 104 | 192.0 | 12 | 30.0 | 1,800 | Yes | 16 | 24 |
