This page describes what the E-MapReduce (EMR) technical support team covers for EMR Serverless Spark, what falls outside that scope, and how to reach support when you need help.

Support scope

Covered

The EMR technical support team handles the following for EMR Serverless Spark:

  • Console usage — purchase and create a workspace, create and manage computes and queues, create jobs, orchestrate jobs, configure access control, and monitor resources

  • Consultation on EMR Serverless Spark features and capabilities

  • Stability issues and product defects

Assisted

EMR Serverless Spark depends on Object Storage Service (OSS), Data Lake Formation (DLF), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and Resource Access Management (RAM). For issues with these services, the EMR technical support team provides troubleshooting assistance. The respective service teams handle defect resolution and provide solutions to meet service requirements.

Not covered

The following fall outside the EMR technical support scope:

  • Business application development — code development, business implementation, performance tuning, data correctness checks, and business migration for applications built on EMR Serverless Spark

  • Console blockages and failures caused by customer actions — issues resulting from deleting DLF data or OSS buckets, code development errors, or improper resource use

  • Non-standard capabilities — connectors and other capabilities not provided in EMR Serverless Spark

  • Third-party components — databases, data lakes, and other components your business depends on outside of EMR Serverless Spark

  • Service instability from unexpected operations — see Limits for a list of operations that can cause instability or unavailability

Submit a ticket

If you have business or product-related issues, we recommend that you submit a ticket on the Alibaba Cloud official website for support services.

  1. Log on to submit a ticket.

  2. Enter information about your issue. For Product Category, select E-MapReduce.

  3. Click Submit.

Prerequisites

Make sure your RAM user has the AliyunSupportFullAccess policy attached. If not, ask your Alibaba Cloud account administrator to grant this permission. For details, see Use RAM to manage the permissions of O&M engineers.
