The log query feature streams raw logs from the frontend (FE) and backend (BE) nodes of StarRocks to Simple Log Service (SLS) for centralized management and analysis. You can query logs generated by your instance to quickly troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.
Enable log query
-
This feature queries logs generated while your instance is running.
-
When you enable log query, the system automatically creates a project and a Logstore in Simple Log Service to store your log data.
-
Using the log query feature may incur charges. For more information, see Billing overview.
-
Go to the Log Query page for your EMR Serverless StarRocks instance.
-
Log on to the E-MapReduce console.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, choose EMR Serverless > StarRocks.
-
In the top navigation bar, select a region.
-
Click the name of the target instance.
-

-
-
On the Log Query page, click Activate now.
-
In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
Use log query
-
Method 1: Use the Log Query page
On the Log Query page, configure settings and view detailed log information. For example:
-
Set a custom time range: Click the
icon and select a time range from the Select Time Range drop-down list. -
Set query and analysis attributes: Choose to configure the index, query fields, and other settings.
-
-
Method 2: Use the Simple Log Service console
On the Log Query page, click Go to Log Service Console to view and analyze logs in the Simple Log Service console.
Disable log query
-
Disabling log query does not delete the associated project in Simple Log Service. If you no longer need the project, manually delete it from the Simple Log Service console.
-
When you disable log query, the system stops writing new log data to Simple Log Service. Existing log data is retained. To avoid ongoing storage charges, manually clear the data.
-
On the Log Query page, click Disable Real-time Log Query.
-
In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
