Service activation

Step 1: Create an Alibaba Cloud account

1. Register an Alibaba Cloud account: Registration Page.

2. Complete real-name verification: Real-name Verification.

3. Complete enterprise verification: Enterprise Verification.

Step 2: Activate the service

1. Go to the product homepage.

2. Click Edge Network Acceleration Service to open the service console, and then click Activate Now.

Step 3: Submit a letter of intent

1. Log on to the Accelerated Cloud Connection Service console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Letter of Intent Management. On the Letter of Intent Management page, click Apply for Letter of Intent.

3. Click Apply for Letter of Intent and fill in the required information. For more information, see Letter of Intent Management.

4. Click Submit and wait for the review results.

   Note

   • Reviews are typically completed within one business day.

   • Reviews are processed daily from 9:00 to 23:00. The process may be delayed on public holidays.

Step 4: Purchase provider resources

1. Find the letter of intent with the status Resource Prospected.

2. Click Purchase. In the Select Provider Resources dialog box, review information for each provider, such as Service Type, Estimated Implementation Period, and Purchase Status, and then select one.

3. Select the subscription duration and quantity, and then click Buy Now.

4. Review your order, accept the service agreement, and click Proceed to Pay.

5. Complete the purchase.

Step 5: Schedule the on-site delivery

After you complete the payment and provide any additional required information, a technician will contact you within 3 to 5 business days to schedule the on-site installation and delivery.

Step 6: Create a Virtual Border Router (VBR)

Alibaba Cloud provisions a Virtual Border Router (VBR) for you. Its IP address matches the Alibaba Cloud-side IP address you specified during the purchase.

1. Log on to the Express Connect console.

2. Select the access point that you specified. On the Virtual Border Router (VBR) list page, click Create Virtual Border Router.

3. On the configuration page, set the parameters for the new Virtual Border Router (VBR).

4. After you configure the parameters, click Confirm Creation.

5. The creation is complete.

Step 7: On-site delivery

A technician will guide you to bind the VBR to your predefined IP address range by using your Alibaba Cloud account. After the configuration is complete, the technician tests the connection between your on-premises network and the VBR. If the connection is successful, the on-site delivery is complete, connecting your enterprise gateway to the Alibaba Cloud POP gateway. Billing for the service starts after you sign to confirm the delivery.
