This topic describes how to change the status of your instances in the ENS console.

Manage an instance

Start an instance

Note

Before you start an instance, make sure that the target instance is in the Stopped state.

  1. Log in to the ENS console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Resources and Images > Instances.

  3. On the Instances page, find the target instance, click the image icon in the Actions column, and choose Status > Start. To start multiple instances, select the target instances and, at the bottom of the list, choose More > Start.

  4. In the dialog box, confirm the information and click OK.

Stop an instance

Note

Before you stop an instance, make sure that the target instance is in the Running state.

  1. Log in to the ENS console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Resources and Images > Instances.

  3. On the Instances page, find the target instance, click the image icon in the Actions column, and choose Status > Stop. To stop multiple instances, select the target instances and, at the bottom of the list, choose More > Shutdown.

  4. In the dialog box, confirm the information and click OK.

Restart an instance

Note

Before you restart an instance, make sure that the target instance is in the Running state.

  1. Log in to the ENS console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Resources and Images > Instances.

  3. On the Instances page, find the target instance, click the image icon in the Actions column, and choose Status > Restart. To restart multiple instances, select the target instances and, at the bottom of the list, choose More > Restart.

  4. In the dialog box, confirm the information and click OK.

Note

After you restart an instance, the corresponding node status in the console may temporarily display as Unknown. This is caused by a status refresh delay and does not indicate an operation failure. Wait a moment and then refresh the page to confirm that the instance returns to the Running state. If the node status does not recover for an extended period, record the cluster ID so that you can verify the actual node status (such as Ready) for further troubleshooting.

Release an instance

Note

Releasing an instance permanently deletes all its data. This action cannot be undone. Proceed with caution.

  1. Log in to the ENS console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Resources and Images > Instances.

  3. On the Instances page, find the target instance, click the image icon in the Actions column, and choose Instance Lifecycle > Release or Unsubscribe. To release or unsubscribe from multiple instances, select the target instances and, at the bottom of the list, choose More.

    1. For a Subscription instance, choose Unsubscribe. You are redirected to the User Center to complete the unsubscription.

    2. For a pay-as-you-go instance, choose Release. In the dialog box, confirm the information and click OK.
