Manage a past-due balance

Updated at:

Alibaba Cloud automatically deducts service fees for EventBridge from your account. This topic explains the consequences of a past-due balance and how to pay for your EventBridge resources.

Why an account becomes past-due

Your Alibaba Cloud account becomes past-due if your available credit (including your account balance, vouchers, and coupons) is insufficient to cover an outstanding bill.

Note

If you no longer use EventBridge, delete your resources to prevent further billing.

Impact of a past-due balance

Past-due period

Description

Less than 7 days

If your account has a past-due balance for less than 7 days (168 hours), your existing custom EventBridge, EventStream, and EventHouse resources continue to operate and accrue charges.

7 days or more

If the past-due balance is not paid within 7 calendar days (168 hours), your EventBridge service is terminated. All your EventBridge resources, including custom EventBridge, EventStream, and EventHouse resources, are released. The data in these resources is permanently deleted and is unrecoverable.

To avoid service interruption and data loss, pay your outstanding balance promptly.

EventHouse has ended its free public preview and transitioned to commercial billing as of 00:00:00 (UTC+8) on July 23, 2026. EventHouse uses the pay-as-you-go billing method. You are not charged if you do not use this service.
