Connecting to the cloud with a dedicated circuit often requires you to coordinate with multiple parties, such as Alibaba Cloud and ISPs. This can make it difficult to find a suitable supplier and lead to inefficient deployments. The one-stop cloud connectivity service simplifies this process by matching you with qualified suppliers with strong compliance credentials and extensive experience in deploying Alibaba Cloud Express Connect circuits. A dedicated service manager assists you throughout the entire process. Note: Alibaba Cloud does not deliver any circuit resources. You sign a contract directly with the supplier, and the supplier delivers the circuit resources to you. Alibaba Cloud provides coordination and support, helping you plan the cloud connection process, accelerate deployment and response times, and improve your overall dedicated cloud connectivity experience.

Procedure

The overall process for the one-stop cloud connectivity service is as follows:

1	Requirement Submission	Customer	Provide your requirements, such as the data center location and desired bandwidth. After submitting your application, an Alibaba Cloud service manager contacts you within 72 hours.
2	Requirement Analysis	Supplier	After the service manager confirms your application, they add you to a dedicated service group to help you connect with a supplier. The supplier then performs a preliminary requirement analysis.
3	Site Survey	Supplier	After confirming the requirements, the supplier conducts a site survey of the data center. This includes checking specifications for optical transceiver modules and cables, planning the physical cabling design, and defining security measures.
4	Contract Signing	Customer and supplier	After the site survey is complete, you and the supplier confirm the details and sign the contract.
5	Delivery	Supplier	After the contract is signed, the supplier begins the on-site installation of the circuit.
6	Completion	Supplier	After the installation is finished, the supplier reports the installation as complete, and you can begin the acceptance process.
7	Acceptance	Customer	After acceptance is complete, the service process ends.

Submit an application

You must first submit an application that includes your on-premises data center location and your desired access point. This information allows the supplier to provide a quote and perform a site survey. After submitting the application, an Alibaba Cloud service manager contacts you within 72 hours.

Go to the One-Stop Cloud Connectivity Service page in the Express Connect console and click Create application. In the dialog box that appears, configure the following parameters:

Requester VPC: Your on-premises data center, which is the source of the dedicated circuit.
1. Exact Data Center Location: Enter the precise address of your data center.
2. Access Bandwidth Spec: Supported bandwidth ranges from 1 Mbps to 100 Gbps.
3. Line Provider: Select a supplier that provides service to your data center. You can confirm this with your property manager or colocation provider.
4. Subscription Duration: Select a duration from 1 to 3 years.
5. Contact and Phone Number: Enter your contact information.
Client: The network connection point on the Alibaba Cloud or supplier side, which serves as the destination for the dedicated circuit. The circuit connects to the cloud network at this point to enable communication with your cloud resources.

Two types of access points are available:
- Alibaba Cloud access point: These access points are operated by Alibaba Cloud and are typically located in regions that host Alibaba Cloud data centers. They support high bandwidth from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps but have limited geographic coverage. For a list of supported access points, see Alibaba Cloud access points.
- Partner access point: These access points are operated by third-party suppliers. They support lower bandwidth (less than 10 Gbps) but offer broader geographic coverage and more connection options. The supplier connects your circuit to the nearest partner access point and then forwards the traffic through their own network to an interconnected Alibaba Cloud access point. Parameters:
- Region: Select the destination region for the dedicated circuit.
- Express Connect Circuit Provider: Select your preferred circuit ISPs. You can select multiple. The available access points and port specifications depend on the selected ISP and are shown in the menus below.
- Access Point: The geographic distance between your on-premises data center and the access point directly affects the supplier's pricing. A longer distance typically results in higher costs. We recommend that you select the nearest access point.
  
  For an Alibaba Cloud access point, you can use the Recommendation Mode to check the network latency of each access point, or use the Map Mode to view their geographic locations.
- Port specification: Select the bandwidth of the physical port at the access point.
  - If you select an Alibaba Cloud access point, the supported bandwidth is from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps. The corresponding physical port is dedicated, giving you exclusive use of a physical port.
    - If you have already decided on an access point, select the I agree to create the port checkbox. The system automatically creates a physical port with the corresponding specification for you.
    - If you have not yet decided on an access point, clear the I agree to create the port checkbox. Later, during the Delivery stage, the system automatically creates a physical port for you. You must then manually associate it with this circuit.
  - If you select a partner access point, the supported bandwidth is less than 10 Gbps. After delivery, you are assigned a shared physical port, which means the port is shared with other tenants.

Track progress

An Alibaba Cloud service manager will contact you within 72 hours of your submission. For direct support, we recommend joining the service group by scanning its QR code. To find the QR code, locate the target circuit and click Get Help in the Actions column.
During circuit deployment, you can track its progress in the Line Delivery Progress column. This column is updated with the owner and start time for each stage.
During the Requirement Submission and Requirement Analysis stages, you can click Edit in the Actions column of the target circuit to modify the fields in the application form. After the Construction Survey stage begins, you can no longer edit the related information.

Upgrade bandwidth

Only when a circuit is in the acceptance state can you click Modify Bandwidth Configurations in its Actions column to increase the bandwidth. After you submit the upgrade request, the circuit status changes to the Requirement Submission stage, and a new service process begins.

Billing

The one-stop cloud connectivity service is free of charge. However, you must pay for the associated Express Connect resources.
