Dear Function Compute users,
To provide more intuitive and efficient platform support for emerging AI scenarios such as AI Agent and stateful long-running interactions, the FC console will undergo a grayscale rollout of a complete redesign starting from 2026-07-10 18:00 (user-based grayscale).
Important: This update only adjusts the console menu layout and entry points. It does not involve any changes to underlying resources and has no impact on your business operations, API calls, or function executions.
1. Background: Why Redesign the Layout?
With the explosion of Generative AI, FC has continuously upgraded its product capabilities and is deeply adapted to high-burst scenarios such as AI Agent, agent sandboxes, and RL simulation, providing ultimate performance and cost-effective computing power. To help developers manage resources with different attributes more efficiently, we have made the following optimizations:
-
Clear separation of compute modes: A new "Cloud Sandbox" entry has been added, clearly separated from "Cloud Functions" (formerly Function Management) in the top navigation bar, isolating "stateless" and "stateful" resources.
-
Flattened high-frequency operations: The left-side menu has been reorganized, elevating high-frequency configuration entries such as monitoring and scaling rules, shortening navigation paths for a smoother experience.
-
Experience aggregation and dashboard redesign: The "Cost" and "Resource" management from the original overview page have been consolidated into the Cloud Functions and Cloud Sandbox dimensions, and the global overview is undergoing a complete architecture and visual upgrade.

3. Key Statement: How Does This Affect You?
We understand the importance of the console experience for your production operations, and we hereby solemnly commit:
-
Zero business impact: This update is purely a visual layout optimization of the web page (UI). All underlying resources you have deployed, including functions, sandboxes, triggers, VPC configurations, and NAS mounts, remain completely unaffected. API and SDK calls maintain 100% compatibility.
-
Zero feature loss: All existing configuration features (such as environment variables, layer management, and permission management) have only had their entry points relocated. No features have been removed.
-
Gradual transition: If you have difficulty finding old menu items, you can temporarily switch back using the "Switch to Old Version" button in the upper-right corner of the console, or contact our technical support team at any time by submitting a ticket or via DingTalk group (Group ID: 64970014484).
