Domain name management
Associate an ICP-filed accelerated domain name with a Global Accelerator instance to extend ICP filing compliance to the domain and all its subdomains without a separate filing on Alibaba Cloud.
Background
According to regulations in mainland China, such as the Administrative Measures on Internet Information Services and the Administrative Measures on the Filing of Non-commercial Internet Information Services, any website or service deployed in or resolved to servers in mainland China must complete ICP filing before it can be made publicly available.
-
If you have not completed an ICP filing with Alibaba Cloud and you point your domain name to an Alibaba Cloud server in mainland China, our monitoring system identifies this and blocks access to your website, prompting you to complete the ICP filing process.
-
If you have already applied for an ICP filing with another service provider and now want to resolve your domain name to an Alibaba Cloud server in mainland China, policies require you to add Alibaba Cloud as a service provider in your ICP filing information. If you do not add Alibaba Cloud as a service provider, the Alibaba Cloud monitoring system detects this and blocks access to your website, prompting you to add Alibaba Cloud as a new service provider.
For more information about the process and requirements for completing an ICP filing in the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system, see ICP filing process.
For services deployed in mainland China, the Domain Name Management feature lets you associate an accelerated domain name with a Global Accelerator instance, extending ICP filing compliance to the domain and all its subdomains without transferring the filing to Alibaba Cloud.
Limitations
-
If your accelerated service is deployed in mainland China, or if your acceleration region is in mainland China, the accelerated domain name must have a valid ICP filing.
If you do not have a valid ICP filing in these scenarios, the Alibaba Cloud monitoring system identifies this and blocks access to your website. The Domain Name Management feature will not provide ICP filing compliance for the domain name or its subdomains.
-
An accelerated domain name cannot be associated with the same Global Accelerator instance more than once.
-
The system removes an accelerated domain name from the Alibaba Cloud ICP filing system when you remove all its associations. This happens when you perform any of the following actions:

All associated Global Accelerator instances expire and are released.
