Billing for configuration changes

Updated at:

This topic describes how configuration changes are billed for subscription and pay-as-you-go Graph Database (GDB) instances.

Subscription instances

Configuration change typeDescription
Upgrade configurationYou pay the price difference for the remaining duration of the subscription. The fee is calculated based on an hourly rate.

Example: The monthly price of the new configuration is 14,400 and the old configuration is 7,200. If 50 days remain in the subscription, the fee is (14,400 / 30 / 24 × 50 × 24) - (7,200 / 30 / 24 × 50 × 24) = 12,000.

Downgrade configurationFor information about refunds for immediate configuration downgrades, see Real-time downgrade refund rules.

Pay-as-you-go instances

Pay-as-you-go instances are billed hourly. After you change the configuration of an instance, you are charged at the new hourly rate based on the new specifications.
