Billing for configuration changes
Updated at:
This topic describes how configuration changes are billed for subscription and pay-as-you-go Graph Database (GDB) instances.
Subscription instances
| Configuration change type | Description |
| Upgrade configuration | You pay the price difference for the remaining duration of the subscription. The fee is calculated based on an hourly rate. Example: The monthly price of the new configuration is 14,400 and the old configuration is 7,200. If 50 days remain in the subscription, the fee is (14,400 / 30 / 24 × 50 × 24) - (7,200 / 30 / 24 × 50 × 24) = 12,000. |
| Downgrade configuration | For information about refunds for immediate configuration downgrades, see Real-time downgrade refund rules. |
Pay-as-you-go instances
Pay-as-you-go instances are billed hourly. After you change the configuration of an instance, you are charged at the new hourly rate based on the new specifications.
