To prevent data loss or corruption from events such as system failures, you can back up your data using the backup feature in the Graph Database (GDB) console.

Prerequisites

A GDB instance is created. For more information, see Create a primary instance.

Backup description

  • Backup plan: Automatic backup.
  • Backup method: Snapshot backup. This method saves the state of the disk data at a specific point in time. Database recovery can be completed in minutes.
  • Backup type: Full backup.

Set an automatic backup policy

  1. Log in to the Graph Database console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the resource group and region where the instance is located.
  3. On the Instance List page, click the ID of the target instance, or click Manage in the Actions column for the instance.
  4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Backup and Restore.
  5. Click the Backup Settings tab.
  6. On the Backup Settings page, click Edit.
  7. In the Backup Settings dialog box, set the following parameters.
    Parameter Description
    Backup Cycle You can select one or more days of the week.
    Backup Start Time The time to start the backup, specified by the hour. Set the backup time to off-peak hours to minimize service impact.
    Backup Retention Period The number of days to retain backup data. The default value is 7. The valid range is 7 to 730.
  8. Click OK.

View the list of backup files

Click the Data Backups tab to view data backup information for the instance.
