Create an account

After you create a Graph Database (GDB) instance, create an account and set a password. This action grants you the necessary permissions to access the instance.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Graph Database console.
  2. In the top-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is located.
  3. Click the Instance ID of the target instance, or click Manage in the Actions column for the instance.
  4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Account Management.
  5. On the User Accounts page, click Create Account in the top-right corner.
  6. In the Create Account dialog box, set the following parameters.

    Account NameEnter an account name that meets the following requirements:
    • Must start with a letter.
    • Can contain only lowercase letters, digits, and underscores (_).
    • Must be 2 to 16 characters in length.
    • Cannot be a reserved keyword.
    PasswordSet a password for the account that meets the following requirements:
    • Must contain at least three of the following character types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and special characters. The special characters are !@#$%^&*()_+-=*
    • Must be 8 to 32 characters in length.
    Confirm PasswordEnter the password again.
    DescriptionEnter a description to help you identify the account later. The description does not need to be unique.
  7. Click OK.
