Apply for a public endpoint-ApsaraDB for HBase(Hbase)-阿里云帮助中心

You can connect to ApsaraDB for HBase Serverless Edition clusters from a virtual private cloud (VPC) or through public access. This topic describes how to enable a public endpoint.

Background information

Network type	Description
VPC	After you create a cluster, a VPC endpoint is provided by default. Accessing your HBase instance through a VPC endpoint provides higher security.
Public network	A public endpoint must be enabled manually. Use public access for development or testing only. Do not use it in production environments. Service availability is not guaranteed for public access. For more information, see the Service-Level Agreement Performance may be significantly degraded.

Limits

New ApsaraDB for HBase Serverless Edition clusters are not available for purchase.

Enable a public endpoint

Log on to the ApsaraDB for HBase console.
In the top-left corner of the console, select the region where your instance is located.
Click the ID of the target instance.
On the Instance Details page, click Apply for Public Endpoint.
In the Enable Public Endpoint dialog box, click OK.

On the Instance Details page, you can view the private and public endpoints under Instance Endpoints.
