Configuration changes
This topic describes how configuration changes for an ApsaraDB for HBase cluster are billed.
Billing for pay-as-you-go clusters
Pay-as-you-go clusters are billed on an hourly basis. After you change the cluster configuration, you are charged at the new specification's hourly rate.
Billing for subscription clusters

Add nodes
You cannot add nodes if the cluster's VSwitch has insufficient available IP addresses.
Log on to the ApsaraDB for HBase console.
In the upper-left corner, select the region of the cluster.
On the Clusters page, find the target cluster and click the cluster ID.
On the Basic Information page, click Add Node in the upper-right corner.
Next to Number of core nodes, select the desired number of nodes.
NoteFor a pay-as-you-go cluster, the maximum number of core nodes is 1,000.
For a subscription cluster, the maximum number of core nodes is 100.
Click Create Now.
Expand disk capacity
Log on to the ApsaraDB for HBase console.
In the upper-left corner, select the region of the cluster.
On the Clusters page, find the target cluster and click the cluster ID.
On the Basic Information page, click Expand Disk in the upper-right corner.
Next to Capacity per Core Node, select the disk capacity.
NoteThe disk capacity ranges from 80 GB to 64,000 GB.
Cloud disk clusters use a dual-replica architecture, and their available storage is half of the total capacity.
Local disk clusters use a three-replica architecture, and their available storage is one-third of the total capacity.
Click Create Now.
Change specifications
Log on to the ApsaraDB for HBase console.
In the upper-left corner, select the region of the cluster.
On the Clusters page, find the target cluster and click the cluster ID.
On the Basic Information page, click Change Specification in the upper-right corner.
In the Change Specification window, click Upgrade Configuration Immediately or Downgrage Configuration Immediately.
Click Next Step.
Select the Master node specification and Core node specification.

Click Create Now.
