This topic describes how to enable auto-renewal for subscription ApsaraDB for HBase instances. Auto-renewal saves you the tedious work of manually renewing your subscription ApsaraDB for HBase instances on a regular basis and helps ensure service continuity. You can also disable auto-renewal for a specific instance if needed.
Prerequisites
Your ApsaraDB for HBase instance is a subscription instance.
Precautions
The system attempts the first auto-renewal payment for a subscription ApsaraDB for HBase instance at 08:00 nine days before the expiration date. If the payment fails, the system retries once daily until the payment succeeds or until the day before the instance expires. Ensure that your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance to avoid a failed renewal.
Ensure you have a sufficient account balance, credit limit, or available vouchers.
You cannot enable auto-renewal for an instance that expires the next day. You must renew it manually.
If you manually renew an instance before the scheduled auto-renewal date, the system recalculates the next auto-renewal date based on the new expiration date.
You can use coupons for auto-renewal payments.
Pay-as-you-go instances do not have an expiration date and do not require renewal.
Enable auto-renewal when you create an instance
When you enable auto-renewal during instance creation, the renewal duration is set to one month for instances billed monthly and one year for instances billed yearly. For example, if you purchase a three-month instance and enable auto-renewal, the instance is automatically renewed for one month before it expires.
When you create a subscription ApsaraDB for HBase instance, select a Duration and check the Auto-renewal Recommended box. The system then automatically renews the instance before it expires.
