Public network access solutions

This topic describes how to connect to an Alibaba Cloud HBase cluster over the public network. No fees are charged for public network access traffic or internal-facing traffic.

  • Facilitate development and testing on local machines, such as personal computers.
  • Synchronize data from an on-premises database to an Alibaba Cloud HBase cluster.

Note: The queries per second (QPS) and latency are not guaranteed for public network access.

To connect to an Alibaba Cloud HBase cluster over the public network, complete the following steps:

  • Request a public endpoint.
  • Add IP addresses to the whitelist.

Access from the classic network

This feature is mainly for data migration. It is not available in the console. To use this feature, submit a ticket.

VPN solution

If your cluster is in a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), you can use a VPN to connect to the cluster from your corporate network.
