Activate Lindorm Tunnel Service (LTS) to migrate data from HBase clusters.

Single-node migration capacity

A single 4-core, 8 GB node provides the following throughput:

  • Maximum migration speed: 50–100 MB/s.

  • Historical data migration: 5 concurrent threads by default.

  • Incremental synchronization: up to 5 logs concurrently, 50–60 MB/s.

Create an LTS cluster

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for HBase console.

  2. On the Clusters page, click Create BDS Cluster.

  3. Configure the following parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Billing method

    Select subscription or pay-as-you-go.

    • Subscription: one-time fee based on configuration and duration.

    • Pay-as-you-go: billed by actual usage. You can start or stop the service at any time.

    Note

    Use pay-as-you-go for one-time migrations and subscription for long-term, real-time synchronization.

    Service

    Fixed to BDS.

    Version

    Select 1.0.

    Cluster name

    Enter a name for the cluster.

    Region

    Select the region for the LTS cluster.

    Zone

    A zone is an isolated physical location within a region with independent power and networking. Zones in the same VPC communicate over a private network. A zone failure does not affect other zones in the same region.

    Network type

    This parameter is set to VPC.

    vpcId

    Select a VPC. To create one, follow Create a VPC and a vSwitch.

    vswitchID

    Select the vSwitch.

    Core node specification

    Select the core node instance type.

    Number of core nodes

    Default: 2. You can add nodes after cluster creation.

    Enable cold storage

    Stores infrequently accessed data on cold storage media for archiving.

    • Yes: Enable cold storage.

    • No: Do not purchase cold storage.

    Resource group

    Assign the cluster to a resource group for centralized management. Select an existing group or create a new one.

    Subscription duration

    Available for subscription only. Select 1–9 months or 1–3 years.

    Note

    To automatically renew the cluster upon expiration, select Auto-renewal Recommended and ensure your account has a sufficient balance.

  4. Click Buy Now.

  5. On the Confirm Order page, accept the terms of service and click Enable Now to complete payment.
