ApsaraDB for HBase Serverless Edition is a serverless service developed based on ApsaraDB for HBase Performance-enhanced Edition. Compared with ApsaraDB for HBase, ApsaraDB for HBase Serverless Edition is well optimized in terms of throughput, latency, costs, stability, security, and usability after eight years of improvement. It also provides enterprise-level capabilities such as multiple replicas for partitions, separation of hot data from cold data, and multi-tenancy.
You do not need to apply for additional Alibaba Cloud resources for your ApsaraDB for HBase Serverless Edition cluster. You can directly use the cluster to manage tables, and add data to, delete data from, and query data in tables. ApsaraDB for HBase Serverless Edition can be used out-of-the-box. We recommend that you use ApsaraDB for HBase Serverless Edition if your business is expected to be fully managed or to be O&M free. We also recommend that you use ApsaraDB for HBase Serverless Edition if your business workloads have large fluctuations or if you require reduced costs. ApsaraDB for HBase Serverless Edition currently does not support Phoenix SQL or Solr.
