Description

File system instance

A file system that has a global namespace to store data. You can access data in a file system instance through a mount target.

Mount target

A mount target is an access address for a file system instance within a virtual private cloud (VPC) or a classic network. Each mount target has a corresponding domain name. You must modify the configuration in the core-site.xml file to access files in Apsara File Storage for HDFS.

Permission group

A permission group is a collection of permission rules for accessing a file system. These rules include authorized addresses, read and write permissions, and user permissions.

Note

Each mount target must be attached to a permission group.

Permission rule

A rule that controls user access to a file system. The rule is defined by an authorized address, an access type, and a priority level.

Authorized address

A property of a permission rule that specifies the target to which the rule applies.

In a VPC, an authorized address can be a single IP address or a CIDR block.
