Billing rule

Billing method

Performance (Locally Redundant) capacity

Billing is based on the peak storage usage per hour.

  • Billed storage = MAX(Accounted storage, Actual storage)

  • Actual storage is the total size of all files in the file system, excluding folders. This includes file holes.

  • Accounted storage is calculated by multiplying 5 MiB by the number of inodes for both files and folders. The number of inodes is available in the console and in capacity monitoring.

Pay-as-you-go: Storage fee = Billed storage (GiB) × Monthly unit price / 30 (days) / 24 (hours)

Provisioned throughput

Billing is based on the peak throughput usage per hour.

  • Billed throughput = Configured throughput - Baseline throughput.

  • Baseline throughput = MAX[Billed storage of the previous hour (GiB) × Baseline throughput per GiB (50 MiB/s)].

  • Configured throughput is the throughput configured for the current hour, in MiB/s.

Pay-as-you-go: Storage fee = Throughput (MiB/s) × Monthly unit price / 30 (days) / 24 (hours)

Billing cycle

Apsara File Storage for HDFS is a pay-as-you-go service that is billed on an hourly basis. Fees are calculated based on your usage in the previous hour and then deducted from your account balance. For example, fees for usage between 8:00 and 9:00 are settled at 9:30.

Note

The billing system may experience delays. For example, the bill that you view at 9:30 may show the charges for usage between 7:00 and 8:00.
