Modify a file system
This topic describes how to modify the storage capacity, name, description, and throughput mode of a file system in the Apsara File Storage for HDFS console.
Prerequisites
An existing file system is required. For more information, see Create a file system.
Procedure
Log in to the Apsara File Storage for HDFS console.
In the top navigation bar, select a region.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Your files System.
On the Your files System page, click the name of the file system instance that you want to modify, and then click the Foundation is set tab.
On the Foundation is set page, you can perform the following operations.
Modify storage capacity
Click Modify for Storage Capacity to modify the storage capacity of the file system.
NoteThe storage capacity must be a positive integer.
The file system supports only scaling up, not scaling down. You can increase the storage capacity to a maximum of 1 EiB.
When the used space reaches the storage capacity of the file system, the file system becomes read-only.
The storage capacity serves as the capacity quota for the file system and is separate from its billed capacity. To view detailed billing data, see view bills.
Modify Basic Information
Click Modify for File System name to change the name of the file system.
The file system name must be 6 to 64 characters long and can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-).
Click Modify next to Describe Information to modify the description of the file system.
The description can be up to 32 characters long.
Modify Throughput Mode
Click Modify for Throughput mode to change the throughput mode of the file system.
NoteYou can change the throughput mode of a file system only once every 24 hours.
