After your ICP filing is successful, you can query the information you submitted, such as the entity name, domain name, and website name. This topic describes two methods to query this information: using the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing System and the MIIT ICP Filing Management System. It also explains how to find historical ICP filing information from completed orders and what to do if a newly purchased domain name already has an existing ICP filing.

Query using the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing System

  • If you submitted your ICP filing through the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing System, sign in to the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system with the Alibaba Cloud account you used for the filing. On the ICP filing home page, you can view the ICP filing information for the entity and website.

  • If you forgot the Alibaba Cloud account associated with your ICP filing information, go to the Recover Logon Name page. Enter your filed domain name, drag the verification slider to the far right, and click Recover Now. Select a verification method to retrieve it. For details, see Recover logon name by using an ICP-filed domain name.

Query in the MIIT ICP Filing Management System

  1. Go to the MIIT ICP Filing Management System.

  2. On the homepage, enter an ICP filing number in the ICP Filing Search box to search for information about successful ICP filings.

We recommend that you query by ICP filing number. This returns the ICP filing information for all websites under the entity.

The ICP filing number is the entity ICP filing number. Its format is: <Province abbreviation> ICP Bei <Entity serial number>. For example, Zhe ICP Bei 19011***. If you do not remember the entity ICP filing number, you can search for it by using the entity name, domain name, or other fields.

Note
  • If the MIIT website is unavailable, it may be under maintenance. You can try querying the information on your local Communications Administration website.

  • This method only allows you to query ICP filing information. It does not provide details about the ICP filing service provider.

The following example shows the search results when you query the ICP filing information of Alibaba Cloud using an ICP filing number.

  • Multiple entries in the No. column indicate multiple websites are filed under the entity, whereas a single entry in the No. column indicates only one website is filed.

  • In the Actions column for a website, click Details to see how many domain names are filed for that site.

  • If the search results show only entity information without a website name or website homepage URL, this indicates a shell entity.

A shell entity is an entity whose previously filed websites have all been deregistered. Only the entity's information remains in the MIIT system, without any associated website information. If you need to file a new website under this entity, you must first deregister the shell entity offline or wait for it to be automatically deregistered. After the deregistration is complete, you can submit an initial ICP filing. The automatic deregistration time varies by province. For example, it typically takes about 3 days in Guangdong and about 10 days in Shandong. To deregister the ICP filing information offline, see Deregister the ICP filing of another entity or a shell entity. For the initial filing process, see ICP filing process.

Query history from completed orders

For ICP filing orders completed through the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing System, you can view historical filing information in the Completed Orders section on the My Filings page.

  1. Sign in to the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing System.

  2. On the My Filings page, scroll down to the Completed Orders section.

  3. In the "Actions" column for the target order, click View Details to see the historical ICP filing information for that order.

  4. At the bottom of the order details page, in the "Uploaded Materials" section, you can view your submitted filing materials, such as authorization documents, ID photos, facial recognition photos, and commitment videos. Click View Large Image to enlarge ID-related materials and click View Video to play the commitment video. To save these materials locally, right-click an enlarged image and save it from the context menu.

Note

The Completed Orders section displays information such as Order ID, Website/App Information, Creation Time, Filing Type, and Current Status. You can use the search box at the top to search by entity name.

Query for newly purchased domain names

If you purchase a new domain name and discover in the MIIT ICP Filing Management System that it already has an ICP filing under someone else's name, you must first deregister the existing filing offline. You can then submit an initial ICP filing. For instructions, see Deregister the ICP filing of another entity or a shell entity and ICP filing process.

Query on third-party platforms

For privacy reasons, some third-party query platforms may not display complete ICP filing information. For authoritative and complete results, use the MIIT ICP Filing Management System.
