A domain name certificate proves the ownership and validity period of a domain name. When you apply for an ICP filing for a website or app, you may need to upload a domain name certificate. This is required for certain provinces and for domain names that are not registered with Alibaba Cloud. The certificate allows Alibaba Cloud to verify that your domain name registration information complies with the requirements of the "Notice on Regulating the Use of Domain Names for Internet Information Services" from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This topic describes how to obtain a domain name certificate, using a domain name registered with Alibaba Cloud as an example.

This topic uses a domain name registered with Alibaba Cloud as an example. If your domain name is registered with a different registrar, contact them to download your domain name certificate.

Download a single domain name certificate

Important

For an ICP filing, the uploaded domain name certificate image must be between 200 KB and 4 MB. If your image is smaller than 200 KB, print the certificate in color, take a photo of the printout, and upload the photo.

Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Domain Names console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Domain Name List.
On the Domain Name List page, find the domain name that you want to manage, and click Manage in the Operation column.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Download Domain Name Certificate.
On the Domain Name Certificate page, click Click to Download below the certificate.

Download domain name certificates in a batch

Important

For ICP filing, the certificate image must be 200 KB to 4 MB in size. If your image is smaller than 200 KB, print the certificate in color, take a photo of the printout, and upload the photo.

Log in to the Alibaba Cloud Domain Names console and click Domain List in the navigation pane on the left.
On the Domain List page:
1. In the Domain Name column, select the domain names for which you want to download certificates.
2. Click More > Download Domain Name Certificate.
On the Download Domain Name Certificate page, click Download Certificate.
In the Download Certificate dialog box, enter a File Name for the exported domain name certificate, and click OK.
On the My Downloads page, click Download.
Important
When you batch export domain name certificates, you can perform up to 10 exports per day. The exported files are retained for only 72 hours. Download them to your computer as soon as possible.

Upload documents

If your ICP filing application has not been submitted for initial review:
Fill in your ICP filing information in the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system until you reach the document upload stage. For more information, see Upload documents and verify authenticity.
Important
If the document upload page does not have a field to upload a specific document, use an image editing tool, such as Photoshop, to combine the photo of the required document and the certificate of the ICP filing entity into a single image. Then, upload the combined image.
If your ICP filing application has already been submitted for initial review:
During the initial review, if your uploaded documents are incomplete or non-compliant, follow the instructions from the reviewer. You may need to email the documents to the address provided by the reviewer or re-upload them in the Alibaba Cloud app.
