Clean up ICP filing orders
After you submit an ICP filing application in the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system, the system periodically checks whether your ICP filing is valid and automatically deletes expired or invalid orders. This cleanup process affects multiple filing types, such as applying for an ICP filing for the first time and adding Alibaba Cloud to the ICP filing information as a service provider. This topic describes the rules for cleaning up ICP filing orders.
Expired order cleanup
Expired order cleanup refers to the automatic deletion of ICP filing orders that have passed their validity period. An ICP filing order is valid for 45 days from the date of creation. If you submit an ICP filing application in the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system but do not submit it to the communications administration for review, Alibaba Cloud sends you multiple reminders by text message, email, and internal message. These messages remind you to check and update your ICP filing information. If you do not update your filing order for more than 45 days, the system automatically deletes it. If you need an ICP filing, you must submit and complete the application as soon as possible.
The cleanup process for overdue ICP filings includes the following types.
Apply for an ICP filing for the first time
Add new Internet Information Services (original filing with Alibaba Cloud)
Add new Internet Information Services (original filing not with Alibaba Cloud)
Add Alibaba Cloud to the ICP filing information as a service provider
Modify ICP filing information
Remove Alibaba Cloud from the service provider list
Cancel an ICP filing (including canceling an entity, website, or app)
Claim ICP filing information
Before an ICP filing order is cleaned up, Alibaba Cloud sends you multiple reminders by text message, email, and internal message to check and update your ICP filing information. When you receive a notification from Alibaba Cloud, log on to the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system as soon as possible to check and update your ICP filing information. The following table describes the notification rules for expired order cleanup and the recommended actions to take after you receive a notification.

Manually abandon an ICP filing order
If you receive a cleanup notification and want to abandon your ICP filing instead of waiting for the system to clean up the order, you can manually abandon the order:
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system.
On the My Filing page, find the In-progress orders section.
Click Abandon Filing in the operation column of the order that you want to abandon.
After you abandon an order, all information in the order is deleted and cannot be recovered. If you still need an ICP filing, submit a new ICP filing application.
If you abandon an order for adding Alibaba Cloud to the ICP filing information as a service provider, the domain name in the order can no longer access Alibaba Cloud servers in the Chinese mainland as expected. To restore access, submit a new order of the same type. For more information, see Remove Alibaba Cloud from the service provider list.
Invalid order cleanup
After you submit an ICP filing application in the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system, the system automatically checks every day whether the order is valid. For example, when you apply for an ICP filing for the first time, the system checks whether the entity information and domain name already exist in the filing system of the communications administration. If they exist, your ICP filing order is marked as invalid. The system automatically deletes the order the next day and sends you a notification by text message, email, and internal message. The notification informs you that the submitted filing order was invalid and has been deleted.
