FAQ
How do I confirm that the ID Verification for Financial Services service is activated?
Log on to the ID Verification for Financial Services console and check the page status:
Activated: The navigation pane is displayed on the left. This indicates that the service is activated for the current account.
Not activated: The navigation pane is not displayed on the left, and the Open immediately button is displayed.
What should I do if an API call returns a "service not activated" error, but the console shows the service is activated?
This error often occurs if your business runs in the Chinese mainland, but the API endpoint is incorrectly configured to the ID Verification endpoint for the Alibaba Cloud International Website (www.alibabacloud.com). The ID Verification for Financial Services uses separate API systems for the China site and the international site. Check the endpoint used in your code against the following features:
Item | ID Verification (China site) | Alibaba Cloud International Website (www.alibabacloud.com) |
API namespace | Cloudauth | Cloudauth-intl |
Region | Regions in the Chinese mainland, such as cn-hangzhou and cn-shanghai | Regions outside the Chinese mainland, such as cn-hongkong |
What should I do if an API call returns an "insufficient permissions" error after I have granted RAM permissions?
Check the following two possibilities:
Confirm the RAM authorization scope: When a RAM user calls the ID Verification for Financial Services API, the Alibaba Cloud account must grant the required permissions. For more information about the required permissions and authorization method, see Authorize a RAM user to access services. These requirements are the same as those described in Step 1 of the Procedure section.
Confirm that the service for the API is activated: ID Verification is a collection of products. ID Verification for Financial Services, Information Verification, and Enterprise Identity Recognition are activated separately. If you have activated only ID Verification for Financial Services on your account but you call an API for a different service, the call fails.
What is the difference between Alibaba Cloud account identity verification and ID Verification for Financial Services? What should I do if I have issues with account identity verification?
Alibaba Cloud account identity verification and ID Verification for Financial Services are two different concepts. The differences are as follows:
Alibaba Cloud account identity verification: This process confirms the entity (individual or enterprise) that owns an Alibaba Cloud account. It is a prerequisite for purchasing and using Alibaba Cloud products. If you have issues with identity verification, see Identity verification overview.
ID Verification for Financial Services: This is an identity verification service for enterprise customers. It uses liveness detection and comparison with authoritative data sources to verify that an end user is a real person. It is suitable for scenarios such as opening financial accounts and secure logon.
