The Image Search console is where you create instances, add images, and run image searches. This topic describes the layout and features of each console page.

Left-side navigation pane: lists the resource overview and instance types.
Instance resource overview: shows the count and running status of instances by type.
Service usage guide: describes how to use Image Search.

Get started

Follow these steps to start using Image Search:

  1. Create an instance — Go to Instances and click Create Instance to purchase an instance.

  2. Add images — After the instance reaches Running status, go to Add Sample Image to add images.

  3. Search by image — Go to Search by Image to configure search parameters and run queries.

For bulk operations, use Batch Operation. To export metadata, use Export Metadata.

Instances

Create Instance: click to go to the purchase page.
Search by instance name: enter an instance name in the search box and click the Search icon to run a fuzzy search.
Filter by Tag: click Filter by Tag and then select tags to filter the instance list.
Instance list: displays key details for each instance.

The instance list includes the following fields:

Instance IDUnique identifier for the instance. Click the ID to open the Instance Details page.
Instance NameUnique name within the same account.
TagCustom tags for classifying and filtering instances.
StatusCurrent state of the instance. The operations that you can perform depend on the status of the instance.
Created AtTime when the instance was created.
Expires AtTime when the instance expires.
ActionsLinks to the Instance Details page, and options to upgrade, downgrade, or renew the instance.

Instance statuses

The operations available depend on the instance status.

CreatingInstance is being provisioned.
RunningInstance is active and ready to use.
Will expireInstance is approaching its expiration date.
The creation failedInstance could not be created.
OverdueAccount balance is insufficient.
ReleasingInstance deletion is in progress.
Release FailedInstance could not be released.

Basic Information: Instance Name, Instance ID, Instance Status, Region, Created At, and Expires At.
Package and Usage: Package Type, Capacity, Max Queries/Sec, and Images.
Action buttons: Clear Images, Upgrade, Downgrade, and Renew.

Search by image

Parameter configuration: set search parameters before running a query.
Response: displays the query results returned by the service.

Configure the following parameters before running a search:

Image Subject RecognitionSpecifies whether to apply subject recognition to the query image.
Recognition MethodSelects the recognition algorithm to use.
Number of images in resultsSets how many results to return.
No. of the first image in result for paginationSets the starting offset for paginated results.
Filter ConditionApplies attribute filters to narrow results.

Add sample image

Parameter configuration: set the image attributes before adding an image.
Response: displays the result returned after the image is added.

Specify the following parameters when adding an image:

Commodity IDIdentifier for the product or item associated with the image.
Image NameName for the image being added.
Image Subject RecognitionSpecifies whether to apply subject recognition when indexing.
Image CategoryCategory used to classify the image.
Custom ContentUser-defined text content attached to the image.
Integer AttributeNumeric attribute for filtering during search.
String AttributeString attribute for filtering during search.

Batch operation

Create Batch Task: click to go to the Create Batch Task page.
Historical batch tasks: lists previously created batch tasks and their results.

Export metadata

Create Export Task: click to create a metadata export task.
Task list: displays created export tasks. Click the download link to retrieve the exported file.
