RAM authorization

The table below describes the authorization required to call this API. You can define it in a Resource Access Management (RAM) policy. The table's columns are detailed below:

  • Action: The actions can be used in the Action element of RAM permission policy statements to grant permissions to perform the operation.

  • API: The API that you can call to perform the action.

  • Access level: The predefined level of access granted for each API. Valid values: create, list, get, update, and delete.

  • Resource type: The type of the resource that supports authorization to perform the action. It indicates if the action supports resource-level permission. The specified resource must be compatible with the action. Otherwise, the policy will be ineffective.

    • For APIs with resource-level permissions, required resource types are marked with an asterisk (*). Specify the corresponding Alibaba Cloud Resource Name (ARN) in the Resource element of the policy.

    • For APIs without resource-level permissions, it is shown as All Resources. Use an asterisk (*) in the Resource element of the policy.

  • Condition key: The condition keys defined by the service. The key allows for granular control, applying to either actions alone or actions associated with specific resources. In addition to service-specific condition keys, Alibaba Cloud provides a set of common condition keys applicable across all RAM-supported services.

  • Dependent action: The dependent actions required to run the action. To complete the action, the RAM user or the RAM role must have the permissions to perform all dependent actions.

Device

string

No

The device name of the data cloud disk. This parameter applies only to full image scenarios. You can use this parameter to set the device name of the data cloud disk to match the source data cloud disk in the full image and modify the attributes of the corresponding data cloud disk. For scaling that does not use a full image, the Device parameter is configured by the system by default. When you use a full image for scaling, take note of the following items:

  • Regardless of whether the data cloud disk parameters are explicitly specified, the system restores the data cloud disks from the source image. The content of the restored disks is identical to that of the source image data cloud disks.

  • If data cloud disks are explicitly specified but the Device parameter is not set, additional empty data cloud disks are created. The quantity and attributes of these disks are determined by the specified data cloud disk parameters.

  • If the Device parameter is explicitly specified for a data cloud disk but does not match the Device of any source image data cloud disk, additional empty data cloud disks are created. The quantity and attributes of these disks are determined by the specified data cloud disk parameters.

  • If multiple data cloud disks and their Device parameters are explicitly specified, but all Device parameters point to the same source image data cloud disk, only one of the specified data cloud disks matches and overwrites the source image data cloud disk. The other specified data cloud disks are silently discarded, and no additional empty data cloud disks are created.

  • If the Device parameter is explicitly specified and matches the Device of a source image data cloud disk, no additional empty data cloud disks are created. The specified data cloud disks map one-to-one with the source image data cloud disks based on the Device parameter. If the specified Size of a data cloud disk is smaller than the Size of the corresponding source image data cloud disk, the system returns HTTP status code 417 and the following error message: Data disk Size can not be less than the image data disk snapshot size for Device '/dev/xvdb'.

  • Total number of data cloud disks (explicitly specified to be mounted on the node + restored from the image): up to 16 for standard cloud disk groups, and up to 4 when Cloud Paralleled File System (CPFS) is enabled.
