Pay-by-bandwidth
Internet Shared Bandwidth instances support the pay-by-bandwidth billing method.
Billing details
The fees for an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance in a billing cycle are calculated using the following formula:
Fee for each pay-by-bandwidth Internet Shared Bandwidth instance = Bandwidth unit price (CNY/Mbps/day) × [Billing duration (hours)/24] (days) × Peak bandwidth of the day (Mbps)
The billing cycle for the pay-by-bandwidth method is one day. If an instance is used for less than one day, it is billed by the hour.
The billing period for the pay-by-bandwidth method is one day. The bill for the current day is generated and the fee is deducted on the next day.
Billing duration
The pay-by-bandwidth billing method uses an hourly billing granularity. Billing starts when an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance is created and stops when the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance is released. Usage of less than 1 hour is billed as 1 hour.
For example, if an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance is created at 15:10:23 and released at 16:08:33 on the same day, the billing duration is two hours. The duration is calculated as follows:
15:10:23 to 15:59:59 is the first hour of usage.
16:00:00 to 16:08:33 is the second hour of usage.
Daily peak bandwidth
The daily peak bandwidth is the highest bandwidth value set for an instance on a given day. For example, if you change the bandwidth of an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance from 10 Mbps to 20 Mbps within one day, the peak bandwidth for that day is 20 Mbps.
Bandwidth unit prices
Internet Shared Bandwidth is available for BGP (Multi-ISP) and BGP (Multi-ISP)_Premium lines. The bandwidth unit price varies based on the line type.
