Configure an algorithm task
This topic describes how to configure an algorithm task. The example uses the passenger flow statistics algorithm on an LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device.
Prerequisites
You have activated the pre-installed application whose name starts with 'Passenger'. For more information, see Manage applications.
You have connected an IPC device to the LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device. For more information, see Connect a terminal device.
Preparations
Obtain the algorithm application for the activated LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device.
Log on to the IoT Edge console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Node Management > Host Management.
On the Host Management page, locate the activated LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device and click Host Details in the Actions column.
On the Basic Information tab of the Host Details page, locate the Video Gateway information. Copy this information, save it to a local text file, and provide it to your business contact. Request that the Passenger Flow Statistics algorithm application be deployed to the LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device.
Step 1: Configure the pre-loaded algorithm
Before you can use the algorithm application feature on the LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device for the first time, you must first configure a pre-loaded algorithm. For more information, see Pre-load an algorithm.
Log on to the Edge Computing console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Node Management > Algorithm Task Management.
On the Algorithm Task Management page, select the activated LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device, and then click Settings to the right of Max Running Tasks.
In the Set Max Running Tasks dialog box, set the parameters as described in the following table.
Parameter
Description
Inference Mode
Select Real-time Video Analytics.
Compute Unit
The LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device has two Compute Units. In this example, you only need to configure one compute unit.
Compute Unit 1: Select Passenger Flow Statistics | Max 4 Tasks.
Click Confirm to complete the pre-loaded algorithm configuration.
Step 2: Configure the algorithm application
On the Algorithm Task Management page, select your LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device. The Passenger Flow Statistics algorithm application that was deployed in the "Preparations" step appears. Click the algorithm application.
On the Algorithm Service Details page, click Add Device.
In the Add Device panel that appears, select the check box next to the IPCamera-No1 device and click OK.
After the device is added, you can manage the connected IPC device using the algorithm task.
Some of the parameters are described in the following table. For a complete list of parameters, see Algorithm applications.

Operation
Description
①
Start the algorithm task
Turn on the Device Status switch to start the Passenger Flow Statistics algorithm task for the IPCamera-No1 device.
NoteAfter you start the algorithm task, it begins to initialize. If the device status does not update within 30 seconds, refresh the browser page.
②
Draw a tripwire
A tripwire is a boundary line for counting people. Draw the tripwire as follows:
Click Draw Tripwire. In the dialog box that appears, click Draw Tripwire and use your mouse to draw a line.
Click Draw Direction and use your mouse to draw a line with an arrow. The arrow indicates the direction of entry. People who cross the tripwire from this direction are included in the people count.
NoteWhen you draw the tripwire and the direction line, make the two lines perpendicular for more accurate people counting.
Click the
icon to save your drawing. On the Algorithm Service Details page, turn the Device Status switch off and on again to apply the tripwire.
③
View events
The Event List area displays the total number of people, a curve graph, and entry events.
NoteThe total count and the curve graph are calculated daily and reset to zero at 00:00 every day.
Click Details next to an algorithm to view the details of the event. Click More Events to view events for all algorithm tasks. For more information, see Event Center.
You have now configured the Passenger Flow Statistics algorithm application.
Manage algorithm tasks
On the Algorithm Task Management page, select your LE-V-B015 all-in-one edge device, and then click Event Center in the Algorithm Service area.
On the Event Center page, select the Passenger Flow Statistics application and the IPCamera-No1 device. Set a start and end time, then search to view the events for the algorithm task.
Click Details to the right of a specific event to view its details.
What to do next
