System administration

Updated at:

You can use system administration to manage the network, cloud connectivity, and video configurations of the edge appliance.

Network configuration

You can manage the wired and cellular network configurations of the edge appliance. For more information, see Network configuration.

O&M configuration

  1. Log on to the edge appliance management console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click System administration, and then click the O&M configuration tab.

  3. You can restart the edge appliance or restore it to its factory settings.

    Operation

    Description

    Restart

Restarts the edge appliance without affecting its configuration. The edge appliance management console is unavailable during the restart. After the restart is complete, the logon page appears. Log on again.

    Important

Do not refresh the page during the restart. Otherwise, an error occurs on the edge appliance management console page.

    Restore factory settings

Restores the edge appliance to its factory settings. This action purges all configured information.

    Important

This operation is irreversible. Proceed with caution.

Cloud connectivity configuration

You can use the cloud connectivity configuration to connect the edge appliance to the Edge Computing console for management.

  1. Log on to the edge appliance management console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click System administration, and then click the Cloud connectivity configuration tab.

  3. Turn on the Activation status switch.

  4. In the dialog box that appears, enter the activation code and click OK.

    Note

Obtain the activation code from the user manual for your edge appliance.

Video configuration

You can use video configuration to set parameters for videos used in algorithm tasks, result fields for algorithm alerts, and images.

  1. On the System administration page, click the Video configuration tab.

  2. Set the video parameters as prompted, and then click OK.

    Parameter

    Description

    Image storage duration (minutes)

The duration for which algorithm alert images are stored locally on the edge appliance.

    Matting Zoom

The expansion multiplier for the cropped target in an algorithm alert. The value can be from 1 to 5. The default value is 1.

    Image timestamp

Specifies whether to add a timestamp watermark from the edge appliance to algorithm alert images.

    Image detection frame

Specifies whether to include a rendering frame for the detected target in algorithm alert images.

    Reporting protocol version

The version of the fields for reporting algorithm alert events. The following two versions are available:

    • Version 1.0: Compatible with scenarios for existing users. This version is not recommended for new users.

    • Version 2.0: Compatible with more scenarios. Select version 2.0.
