Billing overview
This topic describes the different billing methods for the Trial, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions of IoT Studio.
The following information is for reference only. The actual charges are specified on your bill.
Billing methods
Product specifications | Billing method |
Trial Edition | Free of charge. The Trial Edition provides a one-month free trial. After the trial expires, you can purchase the Enterprise or Ultimate Edition to continue using the service. Note Users of public preview versions and other free trials of older services can continue to use them until the services are unpublished. To continue using the services, you can upgrade by purchasing the Enterprise or Ultimate Edition. For more information, see the unpublishing announcement. |
Enterprise Edition | Subscription model. CNY 25,000 per year. The maximum subscription duration is 3 years. |
Ultimate Edition | Subscription model. CNY 200,000 per year. The maximum subscription duration is 3 years. Note This does not include the costs for custom components, custom application interface development, or custom features. |
Purchase
IoT Studio supports upgrades but not downgrades. If your current edition has insufficient resources, you can upgrade to a plan with higher resource specifications.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Resource Usage.
On the page, click Upgrade.
On the purchase or upgrade page, select the resource specifications you need.

Package Type
Options: Enterprise Edition or Ultimate Edition.
Number of applications
The number of applications must be a multiple of 2. The available range is:
For the Enterprise Edition, you can purchase 10 to 50 applications.
For the Ultimate Edition, you can purchase 100 to 200 applications.
When you purchase a specific Number of applications, the quotas for Number of projects, Number of pages, and Service invocations for IoT Studio under your account are scaled out accordingly.
The conversion formula is: 1 application = 1 project = 10 pages = 500,000 service invocations/month.
Subscription Duration
Options: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years.
Example
Assume a user has the basic specifications of the IoT Studio Enterprise Edition: the Number of projects is 10, the Number of applications is 10, the Number of pages is 100, and Service invocations are 5 million per month.
Due to business growth, the user needs to add 6 more applications. During the upgrade, the user sets the Number of applications to 16.
After the upgrade, the Number of projects is scaled out to 16, the Number of pages to 160, and Service invocations to 8 million per month.
