You can upgrade resources for the Internet of Things (IoT) Platform application development service, but you cannot downgrade them. To unsubscribe from purchased resources, you must request a refund. This topic describes the refund policy for these resources.

To unsubscribe from purchased resources, submit a ticket. For more information, see Request a refund.

Refund calculation

Refund amount = Actual amount paid × (Total subscription months - Months used) / Total subscription months.

Where:

  • Actual amount paid is the cash payment for the order. It does not include amounts covered by coupons.

  • Total subscription months is the subscription duration of the resource.

  • Months used is rounded up to the nearest whole month. For example, if a resource has been used for 5 months and 16 days, the Months used value is 6.

Note

After a refund is successfully processed:

  • Any free gifts, such as coupons or extended service periods, are forfeited.

  • Amounts covered by coupons are not refunded.

  • The system automatically deducts the refunded amount from your invoiceable quota. Do not request an invoice for the refunded order. This prevents a negative invoiceable quota, which can affect your withdrawal requests.
