After you enable account authentication, only users who log on can access the application. This topic describes how to configure account authentication.

Prerequisites

The account feature is enabled for the project. For more information, see Enable accounts.

Background information

By default, applications developed in the Web Visualization console do not require security authentication for access. Enable account authentication to enhance security for features such as information security and device control.

Restricting access permissions for web applications helps ensure their security.

Enable account authentication

  1. On the Project Management page, find the project that contains your application and click its name.

  2. In the Project Development section on the project details homepage, find your application in the Web Application list and click the application name.

  3. In the left navigation pane of the Web Application Visualization editor, click the Application Settings button.

  4. On the Application Authentication tab, click Account, and in the Enable Account Authentication dialog box, click Enable.

After you enable account authentication, configuration instructions appear on the page.

  5. Configure page access control.

In the left navigation pane of the Web Application Visualization editor, click the Page button.

Two access control policies are supported:

    • Logon-free Access: You can select the Logon-free Access check box if a page does not require users to log on.

    • Access Restrictions: To restrict page access to specific roles, select the Access Restrictions check box. You can then configure the roles in the operations backend. For more information, see Manage permissions.

    Note

If an application has multiple pages, after a user logs on, the system checks access permissions according to the page sorting order. The user is then redirected to the first page that they have permission to access.

  6. Optional: On the Application Settings > Application Authentication page, select the Application Access Restrictions check box.

After you select this check box, an administrator must configure the roles that can access the application in the operations background. For more information, see Manage permissions.

  7. Optional: Configure the application logon interface.

    1. On the Application Authentication tab, click Configure Logon Interface.

    2. In the Application Logon Interface Configuration dialog box, configure the logon interface name, logo, and page background image, and then click Add ICP Filing Information.

    3. Enter the ICP filing information and set its display style.

      Note

Each ICP filing record can display a maximum of two icons simultaneously. The ICP filing name can contain up to 30 characters. You can add multiple ICP filing records. For more information about the ICP filing process, see ICP filing process.

    4. Click OK.

The added ICP filing information appears on the application logon interface.
